1. Reduce social media usage, reduce unnecessary preoccupations

Almost all productive creators saying that Twitter, daily news, and all sorts of social media are poisonous to their minds. They only become more productive and happier after quitting social media and news.

My personal experience is, the mind needs to be protected to be happy and productive. If I throw my mind with scattered news and information, my mind will experience scattered and broken signals from the external world and lose the willingness to explore new territories. Not to mention thinking through complex topics.

Every day, political news, financial analysis, cat gifs, etc flooding to my screens. But in retrospect, almost 99% of those news and info are just entertaining. If real serious things happen, my family members, friends, and colleague will make me aware of it.

In 2023, I am going to consciously reduce the usage of Twitter and news consumption.

2. Work on the repeatable work

Try my best to avoid ad-hoc work. The result of two hours of work on a document or blog is repeatable. I can read it later, and hundreds or thousands of others can read it, and…
