Someone said history is like a big ship, a captain drive the ship in a narrow river, sometimes turn a bit left , sometime right. Trying hard to make the ship moving forward.

Suddenly, the captain found a reef in the left side while a man stand on the right side.

Turn left, the whole ship may sink, turn right will undoubtedly cause the man death. Now, how should the captain do.
