The science community do talk a lot about "CO2", and hence introduce the the "carbon tax" which impact every individual and comercial companies.
Water vapour's wide absorption spectrum make it the number one greenhouse gas. however, we can't do much about water vapour. methane take a tiny portional of the GHG emission. CO2 becomes the top knob. However, the CFC-11 which can destroy Ozone should be considered GHG too.
I did mention about the temperature raise in the polar regions.
BTW, which part makes your feel "sloppy science"? I can improve it if there are any mistakes.
